:: GAME START DATE: 09/05/10 :: :: GAME STATUS: ACTIVE :: Two higher beings, which ones are not important, were having a conversation one day and that resulted in setting up a little experiment in a fairly large city. This was done for no other reason than to amuse the beings, and thus Youth City was born.
What they did was created a controlled environment, just a city, and filled it with people from all walks of life, many different times, and worlds. That wasn't quite interesting enough for the beings, so as a twist, every adult character who woke up in the city would now be a teenager between the ages of 15-19 years old. And as another twist, they threw in some actual teenagers to see what would happen.
This was better than a soap opera to the higher powers and likely to become very much like one. All of these people in a contained environment and teenagers? It seemed a recipe for disaster. Would it be Lord of the Flies time or would they develop a sophisticated society? Heroes and villains thrust into a world they could never imagine. Alliances will be forged and broken, and the higher beings will watch to see what happens in the little world they created.
Upon arrival, characters will find themselves in a bedroom in the Youth Center in the middle of the city. This is where they will live. They will also have a roommate randomly assigned to them. Each room is equipped with two beds, two dressers, two desks and chairs, four night stands, and decor that would suit each occupant. Upon each desk is a brand new laptop already hooked up to the Youth City internet and a PDA device as well as instructions for use in case the character has never seen one before. Your character will also have any items they would normally carry on them.
The city has everything a major city would have, but there are no adults whatsoever. Every person in the city is under 19 years old, and they don't get any older. Your character will be stuck with the age they've been sent back to, for all eternity. Characters will soon discover that there is no way out of the city, and stepping outside the city line will find them back in their bedroom at the Youth Center.
How will they adjust to this city and the fact that they are now teenagers? That is up to you. Make the stories good and the higher powers will be pleased. Displease them and there will be consequences.
